“Absolutely AWESOME boat!!! 6 full grown men & a fish box full of fish/ice (not a small fish box by any means) & she jumps on to plane like nothing with my Honda BF90's. I had plenty of custom work that I wanted done on my boat & Dawie was very accommodating in getting my new 760 exactly the way I wanted it.”
(Justin – Fish Tales Charters)

What can I say... This boat ticks all the boxes:
Value for money – YES
Safe  & comfortable ride -YES
Economical - YES
Ergonomic & practical design - YES
Ease of towing - YES

Fish Tales is the flagship vessel of Piranha Group charters & is also the smallest vessel in the fleet. Due to her excellent fuel consumption (1.65l per NM average over 5000NM), practical layout & mobility we use her more than any of the other vessels for our Offshore Tuna charters as well as Inshore charters. We can comfortably fish for tuna with up to 6 man on-board & 9 crew can comfortably be accommodated for inshore fishing.

Custom layout - no problem! I had specific requirements for Fish Tales that, among others, included a 1.7m insulated fish box & custom cabin layout.

When I bought Fish Tales I was sceptical about putting 90HP motors on as the norm in South Africa is to always have bigger motors on such a size boat, but to my surprise she handled very well with the 90's & we have loaded nearly a ton of Yellow fin tuna with 6 crew with no issues of getting on the plane & staying there. She handles the sea extremely well & always brings us home if the weather turns foul & not prone to broaching. The fact that the entire rig with filled fuel tanks on the trailer weighs less that 2.8T makes towing a pleasure, we easily tow Fish Tales with a Isuzu bakkie & work from St Helena bay to Struisbaai.

Then there's the after sales service from  Carry Cat marine! After using Fish Tales for a few months I had more alterations to the layout that I needed & they were more than willing to accommodate me. All in all I cannot think of ever using another vessel, the 25FT is definitely the best of both worlds as she is the perfect size: no need to moor, big enough to handle foul weather and small enough to tow comfortably!

‘’After months of research looking for a perfect all round vessel that is also suitable for my young kids I came across a forum with the specs and build thread of the carry cat , Since day one I have not had any problems and have always felt safe with my kids onboard. To me the Carry cat ticks all the boxes as a perfect all rounder , fishing, cray fishing, spear fishing or just cruising down the lagoon for a lazy Sunday afternoon braai on the Bot River lagoon with the whole family.

With the temperamental weather here in the Cape we have been caught a couple of times with the weather picking up while in the deep and the Carry cat has always brought us home safely’’

‘’With 6 crew on we went out of Kleinbaai harbour, to my surprise the boat jumped in to the plane , I had to come of power because of the sea , a lot of people wondered if my Yamaha f60 efi would do the job (14 p props ) , well I am glad to say it came faster on the plane than my 18 ft coast cat with the same motors and props . We stopped and pulled away a lot of times and all my crew took a chance at the wheel ( all of the crew own their own boats ) everyone was very much impressed . The marlin boats reported winds between 15 and 18 knots SE so we went home with a big following sea , the boat went like a dream , I am glad that the motors and prop combination works like a charm. I am happy with all the aspects of the boat  & also surprised when you opened the throttles how easy the boat planes it just happens ‘’

‘’She is everything we hoped she would be and way more, averaging 1.1l p/NM for her first outing & today’s fuel was just over 1.15 l p/NM. WOT was around 35knots without trying too hard.’’

''She runs like a dream, we are so impressed we had someone that had a 25ft cat and he was blown away. Thank you again, had a lot of compliments on
the sea and at the slip''.

‘’Had the privilege of going out at Dassen yesterday on a Carry cat 670, and must say I have never been on a Cat that runs so smooth and soft in the water. although fishing was difficult all and all had a great day with great company on a Great boat!’’
